Project Mongoose

~Oneeighteenphotos has his own fan made GI Joe team Mongoose squadron: Martial Cheetah, Optic Sparrow, Diesel Wolf, and Anti-Tank Rhino.
thought it was clever how each member is named after an animal. Rhino is a beast, Martial is a bad ass, Sparrow is a sexy female sniper and Diesel is based on me....coooooool
so I decided hell I should make this elite unit too since the parts list for each figure is affordable(except Rhino's Grenadier parts)
I found a head that looks like Diesel wolf's online that im thinking of buying eventually but for now I created my own. Shipwreck shares a pretty good likeness to me too except his face is a little pudgy, I got a short thin face. so I took a finger nail file and sanded down his side burns so all that is left is a fu-man chu. worked well since the entire head is cast in flesh tone rather than painted so didn't have to mix up some skin tone paint. gave him a little grease on the face since Diesel wolf is a former dreadnok I take it he's a dirty guy. sculpted the hair.....wow that was a chore. as you can see from the before photo I changed the hair a bit after it cured. sculpted more detail in each strand and made the pony tail longer. over all I am quite proud given this is my third time ive sculpted hair

oneeighteenphotos.deviantart.c… diesel wolf. look at that big bastard. The guy that painted the figures for him did such an outstanding job on the hair on that one I cant match it to save my life. Almost identical to my hair color which is Strawberry blonde with brown and red streaks due to the sunlight.(yea im a redhead but not full my beard and eyebrows are dark brown almost black for some reason)
