black dragon

The Dark Ninja is totally a re-invented Black Dragon, just reminds me so much of the Sideshow figure he just has to be. makes him cooler is that he's Renegades storm shadow(fantastic figure) just molded a dark grey with some black thrown in here and there. I do have to acknowledge the inclusion of the sabers that come with collectors club iron klaw just have to be a hint at his original figure being apart of GI Joe Extreme, unintentional or not.
the first black dragon was apart of the Joe team, he was a blonde martial artist who dressed in all black...hmmmm reminds me of someone.
the second was a convention exclusive who was a warlord over his on faction of ninjas
the third was just cannon fodder part of the spy troops line and was a complete repaint of spy troops iron grenadier which didn't look like a ninja to me, just looked like an iron grenadier without the armor. it was released again in a single carded pack in 2008.
the fourth is of course sideshow which added a brand new look and cool twist to the character that I have to love
and lastly we have Dark ninja which is an unintentional homage to black dragon, not cannon fodder, he's a high ranking red ninja.
I like to think that he's one of Sei Tin's generals like the mercenaries slice and dice. I would love to do a custom of one based on his sideshow figure using resolute comic pack storm shadow parts but that would be expensive, Im content having one as a re-issue of renegades storm shadow
