apparently they grow wild in the smokies. I feel dumb because I had to buy mine that are on the front porch.
on top you can clearly see two tiny Damselflies. very similar to dragon flies but not really the same thing, actually
the favorite meal of the dragon fly. they grow bigger about the same size as one. here in the south we call
them Snake Doctors. their young are actually the little things people call doodle bugs that burrow in little holes
and drag their prey to their deaths. we have a lot of those in the barn and I have a few their little burrows in
my shop along with a dirt dobber nest that I try to avoid at all costs.
